The ground span is 104 ° 35′-106 ° 32 ′ longitude east, 24 ° 38′-26 ° 11 ′ north latitude, 210 kilometers long from east to west, and 177 kilometers wide from north to south. The terrain within the prefecture is highly undulating and complex, and can be divided into 5 different landform areas, namely low mountain erosion mountain canyon area; karst plateau trough area; karst erosion plateau area; karst erosion mountain area; eroded mountain valley area.

The average annual temperature is 13.8 ～ 19.4 ℃, the average temperature in January is 7.1 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is -8.9 ℃ (as of February 14, 1968, now Anlong); the average July temperature is 23 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 40.2 ℃ (April 2006) Sunrise on June 11th).
